How do I Display Date/time on a Cannon Power Shot S3IS?
Does anyone know how I display the time and date on my digital camera…..Cannon Power Shot S3IS. I have been trying to figure it out, for months now. Any suggestions will be helpful, thanks.
You need to use the Postcard mode to get a date imprint on your photos – assuming that’s what you actually want to do.
You can only imprint the date in “Postcard” mode. See “Postcard Mode” in the index of your Advanced Manual for complete directions with illustrations.
Setting the Postcard Mode:
Press the FUNC button
Scroll to the image size selector
Set the image size to “Postcard” 1600×1200
Press FUNC to save

Setting the date imprint to “On”:
First, be sure that you have selected the Postcard mode
Press the MENU button
Choose the RECORD menu, which has an icon that looks like a camera
Scroll down to “Date Stamp”
Scroll to the right to choose “Off,” “Date,” or “Date & Time”
Press MENU to save

The image size will be 1600×1200 pixels.
You can not save the date in any other mode.
You can only turn the date stamp on or off if you are in Postcard mode.
You can not remove the date stamp from the image once it has been embedded. You would have to use Photoshop (etc.) to cover it up.
Be sure that your camera’s clock is set to the correct time and date.
